Depending on the application, top loading connections can be:
- Open loading – where the manhole remains unsealed for non-hazardous liquids.
- Semi-closed loading – using a cone that seals against the manhole to minimise vapour loss.
- Closed loading – a fully sealed connection via a flange, used when transferring dangerous or toxic products.
Most Carbis Loadtec top loading systems incorporate a vapour return hose to prevent harmful emissions from being released into the atmosphere, supporting both environmental compliance and operator wellbeing.
