Floating Suctions
Floating Suctions by Carbis Loadtec are competitively priced high-quality systems from our Tanks Accessories range. Our floating suctions range from 2” to 24” and can be ganged together to form a dual suction facility equivalent to a 48” inlet. Materials are generally aluminium and stainless steel.
Floating suctions are used to draw safe and clean liquids off from storage tanks where liquids need to be uncontaminated by water or solids.
Suspended by the surface of the liquid, the inlet to the pump is held in the clean, dense product regardless of the constantly changing liquid level. For tanks with floating roofs, large bore roof skimmers move with the roof to drain away unwanted liquid.
Floating suctions come in various designs to suit buried, above-ground, semi-buried, and vertical tanks and are for use with articulated drainage units with a floating ceiling/roof.
Depending on the tank design, Floating Suctions can have single, double or triple arm lengths, allowing the best possible extraction with the smallest footprint.
