Carbis Loadtec Top Loading Arms H

Top loading arms permit the transfer of liquids through the manhole on the top of a road or rail tanker. Depending on whether the product is ‘dangerous’ or not, this connection may be open (manhole not sealed), semi-closed (via a cone to the top of the tanker) or closed. A closed connection indicates that the product is dangerous or toxic and made by a flange to the top of the tanker. Most often tanker loading arms are equipped with a cone and vapour hose to prevent the vapours from being released into the atmosphere. When top loading, operator safety is the number priority as the operator will be on top of the tanker. Working from height regulations must be followed during the process. Carbis Loadtec also supplies a range of safe tanker access equipment to ensure this process is as safe as it can be.
