Vapour Recovery Loading Arms by Carbis Loadtec are designed to capture the vapours displaced from the road or rail tanker during filling operations.
The most common method for collecting vapours during filling is via a cone-shaped plug that closes the open maintenance hole and diverts the vapours back to the loading rack. This could be via a hose, piggybacked onto the liquid arm, or a separate parallel arm.
Alternative vapour recovery methods can be supplied using two loading arms, one for filling and one for vapour return, connected to the tanker via a flange or coupling. The latter is mainly used when the liquid being loaded has high toxicity.
